My kids have a Schleich castle, but no monarchy to dwell within its walls. I am, therefore, in the process of creating a super-articulated 1:18 scale set of knights, foot soldiers, and - more importantly for my daughter, I'm sure - a princess or two. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience sewing 1:18 clothing so I am learning on the fly. So here is princess #1, a work in progress:
Body: MU Dagger (2013) - paint apps removed from torso, otherwise unmodified Head: Pirates of the Caribbean "On Stranger Tides" Angelica Teach (2011), picked up from a lucky trip to Goodwill - unmodified Necklace: Indiana Jones "Willie Scott" (2008), China-bay purchase - unmodified Soft goods: hand-sewn custom The outer robe still needs some trim added (I am considering imbedding some wire inside the trim to allow for robe "posing" and adjustment) as well as some fit adjustments. The inner dress/skirt is done except for the final attachment to the figure. I also need to find a good 1:18 size crown or two for these projects, so if anyone has a lead please let me know where to look.

Very nice.
So are you saying you do have experience sewing clothes in other scales, just not 1:18? |

Aside from a skirt for a female Cairo thug I was trying to make earlier, I have no experience with sewing anything since home economics class in the 90's (we had to cut out pattern pieces and sew a pillow together, so still no clothing experience in any scale).
In the interest of full disclosure, I only hand-sewed these pieces because my wife's sewing machine was out of thread on the bottom spool and I didn't want to mess anything up on her machine trying to figure out how to reload it. I really need a refresher.
