Tankers,
Having a mild interest in miniature war-gaming since childhood, I take a peek from time to time at some customizing/terrain modelling sites to get some ideas. I ran across an article about using miniature magnets for these tiny figures limb joint, so they can swap out different limbs & backpacks, etc. I thought I could apply this idea to my Joe scale figures. The closest figures I had at hand were some Army of Darkness figures from Palisades Toys and they were perfect because there was a few things I had wanted to do since I bought them like 10 years ago. So, I grabbed my pin vise and after a few minutes, I had the perfect size hole to fit the teeny tiny magnets I got of eBay. Have any of you done anything in this realm? Please share!

I play 40K and use magnets often for customs and versatility with figures. So I can see where magnets and joes could be useful. I like what you did with Ash. Do you have a custom chainsaw hand to go with him as well?

I will soon, but the chainsaw attachment where his wrist goes is pretty deep, so i just need a bigger magnet. As soon as I grab one with my next order, it'll be done!

I use magnets sometimes. I use a single ball from a dog tag chain and one magnet instead of two magnets. It just simplifies the build. It makes for great head articulation, I think. I used them on the rockets as well. They come off.

I will use one magnet and a small nail head for mine. Just clip off the actual nail part leaving just enough to put into a drilled hole for stability and done. Saves on magnets a lot.
