Third and more difficult option is to scratch build the stretch between the two cuts. You would just need to layer the plastic to match the lines.

Dremel, good point with the cab interior. It is a nice interior, now that you mention it.
But if I discard the back I lose the cool molded tailgate corner deal. It's actually pretty straight and square, so I think I can pull it off. We will see. If you've been counting. That's only 6 wheels which leaves two for a trailer. Not sure if that will pan out... |

Think I was typing during option 3 and 4. I'm going scratch to fill. Possibly scratch all the way if it doesn't go well.

If you are just going to extend it the first thing that I always do is just run a rod or tube to start the build. You can glue it right in that top gap inside the quarter panel. You glue it right up to that flat surface and it automatically gives you a straight line to work off of as well as setting the length. The next thing I do is put a sheet of plastic on the bottom to connect the extension. That gives you a solid extension foundation to start constructing around.

That should have said run a rod on both sides at the top inside the quarter panel.

I do a lot of stretching.
Here is a WIP and finished pic of a similar stretch I had. I also stretched the cab on the Beast both directions but you watched that build.

Yeah you ever going to finish a project. LOL
You should make it an 8 wheeler. extend the front as well and have a second front axle.
