yeah I am getting a real Aliens APC vibe as well, but that is a good thing.
on the positive side it sands real easy. I personally use a sanding sponge I leave it dry and just use it to sand all the flat surfaces, then I often use a finger nail file to get the little tight spaces. Quote:
Lookin good, I like the side pods with the wheels like that. I wonder what it would look like as a half track. I'd go with the Razor back part on the back. Also Glaze putty is used for filling small scratches and pin holes in Bondo. You can use like you have but I just don't put too much on you will be sanding forever.

Hope to get to mess with it a bit today if I get time after mowing the lawn and working on the truck. If not I will get some time in tomorrow morning. Hopefully will have some progress pics then.

That is an interesting idea. I planned to use styrene, but plexi would be cool since I could mask off windows. I have some scraps of plexi that I might dig out. Not sure which I will go with. Still haven't gotten to work on this, but hopefully tomorrow morning before work.

Looks great so far. What kind of putty are you using to fill the cracks?

Thanks! I am using the Bondo glazing and spot putty. After reading that Dremel used it I figured I would give it a shot. I am liking it so far, though I sense much sanding in my future. Things keep popping up to eat at my free time so it looks like it may be this weekend before I get to make more progress on this one.

Finally got some progress today. Nothing is glued on just yet, just mocked up to see how its going to look. Got the pods cut for the sides where the wheels will attach and started trimming the back end to join the Razorback section to it. I decided I didn't like how plain the ares looked on top where the windows where that I was covering up, so I am going to use panels I cut off the pods to cover them and add some detail. The area in the back where the Razorback section attaches will be where the docking pad for the Despoiler will located. Hope to get more time towards the end of the week to dive back into this.

The wheels will attach to the pods right? This thing is going to be so impressive, can't wait til it's armed up!
