I love this the PAC rats are my favorites but it is too big to be 1:6 scale.
I do love what you are doing here! Here is the size of a 1:18 Pac RAT missile next to a Worms. As you can see it is about as long as a joe up to the neck line. A 1:6 head is about 1.5 inches tall. so the missiles (give or take a fraction of an inch) should be about 10.5 inches long.

No they would not.
I did not use any math I used proportion. a head sculpt on a 12 inch tall 1:6 figure is 1.5 inches. a pac rat missile is the height of a man minus a head. (macabre thought) therefore it should be 10.5 inches not 16. 16 inches is 4 inches taller than a 1:6 figure. Too big. Open to artist interpretation? Of course, but if I commission him to make one for myself, Which I have already contacting him about doing, I would send him back to the drawing board.

^^^^ I think the op is shooting for a true 1/6 scale version, which may not be suited for everyone's individual tastes. I'm personally thrilled to see an ARAH vehicle sized up for Sideshow figures, even if it is one of the smaller ones.

It just goes to show that anything is now possible with 3D printers.

The original missiles wouldn't be much bigger than a TOW or shoulder mount. If I do produce these to sell in any production capacity (molds, casting, etc), I may take a vote as to the final scale and make the cast versions along that line. If anyone then wants a different size variant, i'd likely load the model to Shapeways. The time involved in printing one of these is just too long to create multiple versions. a single missile is over 8 hours. For one complete unit to be printed from here would take at least a week. I'm going to finish this one before i make any promises beyond that, As is I'll likely do at least 1 more complete unit with whatever revisions I learn from this one. I don't even know where to begin pricing this thing yet, just based off what's gone into it so far, but casting it's going to be the only way to make it even remotely reasonable. So I may look at running a kickstarter or other pre-ordering method to cover those costs (with the additional 2 Pac/Rats as stretch goals) |

Also, keep in mind that the original toys were price-point scaled.
yojoe.com puts their price at $1.59 at the time. so less than i remember paying for figures. |
