Good stuff, Jarhead Veteran here (1992-1996). I've been waiting patiently for a Dress Blues Gung-Ho to be released. I served my time in Washington D.C. and and my original DB Gung-Ho actually visited the White House.
I look forward to seeing this finished. you may have to customize an inspection ruler for him ;-) |

Sorry for being a bit of a newbie here but I just want to ask, what does jarhead means? And does it apply to all branch of military or just marines? Ive been hearing that term for a long time and no one from my circle of friends could give me a proper answer why sometimes they call a military personnel a jarhead? Oh...and looking forward to this custom mate. I had an o-ring of gung-ho and he's always my VIP (cause joes are short on casual look figs, except chuckles)

Jarheads are Marines. I believe that the term came from the extreme high and tight haircuts they sport. Makes it look kinda like a mason jar with the sides being clean and just the patch on the top.

It is looking fantastic. Mine from Aloysha should be coming very soon. The reason I asked about water slide decals is he states he includes two chevrons and a ribbon decal. But your sculpt is completely awesome. I just dread going that route if I can find something similar.
