TRU has them on their website for $1 too. Just search for "dreadful alien drink".

Nice effect with the lights. Cant make out how you wired the top light for the second tube.

NP, yeah, they're just too perfect for customizing, especially if you don't have the lid down as far as it should go, ends up being perfect for a joe scale fig. Quote:

Lol, what can I say, I couldn't resist when I saw them that cheap. Thanks! The effect was from very little trial and error and it was mostly the translucence of the tube that made it work so easily. Thank you kindly! Quote:
That one, I didn't take as many pics as I wanted. The wiring is just loose on the 2nd one, I'm trying to figure out a way to make the lid light up while still being removeable and look good in the process. Have a couple ideas to try, just need to hit up walmart or an auto parts store for supplies.

This update is really just showing some testing for making the top removeable. The 2nd light up top really makes a difference, but with a continuous wire up there, it's a pain in the butt to remove the top to swap figs, plus the wire/connections would eventually break. Going to try some smaller ones, but this is all I had on hand for now:

I loved your idea, so I came up with my own take of it.
I positioned the LEDs so that they would distribute the light using the plastic of the tube like a "Light Pipe". I also went with blue, cause I really like the blue LED. My powersource is exernal also, so I've got this powered with 3 AAA batteries for that extra brightness. I don't think I'll need to add a light to the top, but I might add a mirror or some reflective material to the cap to create some more light coming down from the top. I only have two of the Zombie vipers and they're packed in storrage right now, so I've got a generic joe in the tube for effect. Thanks again for this awsome idea.
