Lol, prolly. I go though stages where I am not feeling creative. I just hopped back on the wagon and have some fresh ideas. I like my results when I am patient vs. anxious. Also it's been so cold that I cannot paint anything, so I am forced to add little "bits" here and there. Paint doesn't seem to stick in 10 degree weather.
Like I said in my second post definitely dont rush it. As for the painting, I have a room in my house with a curtain up over the door so I do not have to pay to heat the extra space. It is warmer then outside but not house warm. I do my spray painting in there and then after it sits a while and most of the stink of the spray paint has dissipated I bring it into the warm to finish drying.

I had been sitting on one in the almost finished zone for about 9 months that was just waiting for the the final piece that made me feel like I could finish it to show up. Got that piece in a lot in the mail and finished it last night. Will be posting it soon.

With the weather finally cooperating, I can start to disassemble the chassis and begin masking off and painting the main body. Going to be Cobra blue as to match the original ASP color. Still undecided if I should continue of making armored plates around the canopy though.

Sounds great. I wish more of my vehicles came apart for painting. Some times some of them come apart but due to the fact you cant really glue after painting, most of my vehicles are fully assembled when they have to be painted. That might be part of why I hate painting. LOL

That's how I do it as well. I even paint what you can't see.

Update:
Adding more armor panels onto the front! This is proving to a bit more tedious than I previously expected, but I think the end result will look good. Does anyone know of a good filler to use in between the armor panels? I need to hide some gaps.

I hide gaps in two manners. One good way is take a piece or super thin sturene .020 or thinner (cheap for sale sign thickness) and I take PVC cleaner, that you normally use before applying the putty, and soak a thin strip in it and then put a bit on the piece of plastic that I am covering and then I apply it similarly to how you tape drywall. If you want more detail on this procedure drop me a line. also for smoothing out joints or filling cracks I use bondo glaze putty which can be picked up in the automotive department at Walmart in a big tube. If you look real close at the Zombie truck WIP pictures you will see the stripping I am talking about all over the cab.
