A slow project I`m currently working on when time allows is a 1/18th scale Original TV series Bridge.
First however had to be the Captain`s Chair & Three crew members (more crew almost done) & so here is some sneak peeks.... Last edited by panzer; 02-15-2014 at 01:09 PM.. |

Crew are of course Spock, McCoy & Sulu.
All three use the 2009 Torso`s. The legs of all three are from the 25th Commando Snake Eyes (modded). Hands varies. Spock & McCoy & Mego The Motion Picture heads modded to fit ball joint necks. Sulu`s is a 21st TUS VietCong (again to fit a 25th ball neck) though may change this.. The Captain`s Chair is made from Balsa wood & plastic. |

Looks good so far. I wish Playmates had made the Trek stuff look like how you made yours. Definitely feel the G.I.Joe leg joints should be universal on all 3 3/4' -4' inch figures.

Nice. I'm actually glad the Playmates movie Star Trek stuff was kind of crap. My fear was that it would be awesome and the line would expand to include all eras of Trek's past and I'd wind up sucked into another line of action figures. If there were 4" versions of Deep Space Nine characters available, I'd have to get a second job.

Seriously, I'd be able to avoid figures from Voyager and beyond. But the original series, Next Generation, DS9, and the movies up to and including First Contact? I'd be in big trouble.

Thank`s guys & will have another crew update soon for you ;)
The bridge alas is going to be longer LOL. Wish this had been the bridge released at 1/18th scale. Now as for IF these had been a winner than the loosers they are, well I would want to see the TOS, "Maroon Monster" uniforms (STII-VI), TNG & DS9. I have to own up I have a major ST custom surge going on which include:- 1, STII TWOK Enterprise bridge underway, 2, Conversion on the Playmate TNG bridge for 1/18th figures, 3, Converting the Galileo & TNG Playmate shuttles for the 1/18th figures, 4, TNG Figures using the Galoob figures (got all of them) & trying to mod with lower half Black 25th Cobra Commander & Joe arms. 5, STII-VI custom figures (using the Ertl STIII figures with 25th Legs & better arms, as well as some sculpted ones. So all in all a slow process but I think well worth the effort. Will sort out some photos when I take photos of the next batch of TOS figures. So as said slow process due to the above all underway at various stages. |
