Just a few pictures of what I started on today instead of shopping. It'll be different, I reckon its the influence of playing Resident Evil lately... I wish I could figure out some way of using the wire frame in the tail. For now, its just being used to keep my focus on proportions in check. More to come so long as I keep at it.

Lookin' awesome my man. Can't wait to see it finished!
Get one of those rubber snakes from a toy shop and stuff the wire down inside it. A lot of them are somewhat hollow... although how you figure our which ones are hollow beats me. You could just start hacking them in half in the store, but I wouldn't recommend it

it would take a lot of seriously tedious work but maybe you could keep intertwining the wire to make the tail frame, just bulk up the top and work your way down.
pro's: seriously unique figure, complete poseability, proportions will be acurate Cons: patience after your done you could cover the wire in resin and smooth it out to complete the tail |

Great work so far. Can't wait to see finished product. If you were to use a rubber snake body you can push a wire hanger the length of the tail for poseability. Just a thought.

If I could find a snake mold that was fairly straight instead of all twisted like you normally find them I'd certainly give it a shot. And I'm not ruling it out yet... I've also though about looking into a soft silicone to cast a mold with. I have a lizard around here filled with tiny plastic beads, if I could figure out how to replicate the style and leave the wire in...
As for the wire, I thought about that too. But once you get about a half inch thick with this phone wire you're just as well off with a plaster. Still, I do have some experience with it. |

Have you thought about that Chap-Mei snake monster showing up at Big Lots? The mummy that he comes with attaches to the tail similar to Golobulus.
