Hey all,
This is another GI Joe vehicle; the Wolverine tank (as if you didn't already know) turned to evil. I think of this as a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun or S.P.A.A.G. for short. It isn't quite finished yet, I still have to add a few things (yeah, in my case mainly just stickers). I thought I would post this up while Armadillo guns on tanks are seemingly the hot thing around here. |

I want to add a radar dish to the Diamondback and I got hold off the Cobra Surveillance Port one the other day. It's a big old thing but I think it will look ok. I was going to attach it into the top of the turret but I think it will look a bit top heavy and also you can't rotate it fully without hitting the guns if they are in an elevated position. So I started looking through my spare parts bin for a hollow box type structure to stick to the back of the turret and attach the radar into. The only thing I could find suitable was this blue thing. I then noticed the curved part matches up very nicely with the top removable turret part. Then I remembered, I think that it is a counter or something from a boardgame... a Hasbro boardgame perhaps?..

It's been a few weeks since I last posted so I thought I better update this thread. I haven't done much more in that time except make the tank a two seater and paint the radar dish.
I might use a devilfish engine cover on the back for the radar instead of the blue counter thing. |
