One thing I guess that sets me apart from most collectors is that some of the worst and/or most obscure characters can be given roles in my collection/imagination. One of them happens to be the Anti-Venom Sgt. Lifeline.
I actually wished to combine elements of the 2002 Internet Exclusive Lifeline(thus using Breaker's head) and the Anti-Venom Sgt. Lifeline(using the mic, helmet, and later on the paint scheme once I get to it). I cut off the holster carrying his gun and the strap in the back that I placed on the front w/that holster attached on top of it, then used super glue to keep them in tact. If you compare this figure side-by-side with a photo of the actual Sgt. Lifeline figure you'll see more of the resemblance. What's missing is the paint(already got the brown oxide color I need, just need to buy cream color paint) on the lower half and I need to use my toothpick to wipe off part of the paint wear on his left arm. I don't know when i'll finish updating this custom...for all I know this could be stalled until beginning of September since I will leave on vacation August 8th until August 24th, but keep an eye out. I added a new photo with better detail, and I painted his kneecaps. Let me know what you think.

Not bad, I like it. You might want to sculpt a band or add some thin styrene around the bottom of the wrist to simulate the glove more. The holster bugs me a little bit, maybe too high? Overall I think you did a good job. Let's see some more.

Thanks. I did a side-by-side comparison with a Stretcher figure(which has the same mold as Sgt. Lifeline) and had to figure out where to position the holster. The problem is the 25th Anniversary body seems smaller when you try to attach the extra gear to him, so if I was to position it too low, then it looks off, and if you position it too high, it looks like the gun is nudging his chin. As for the wrists, well, I think they're fine the way they are. This character is not one i'm particularly that fond of, much like Starduster, so as long as he looks good but not great, i'm cool with it.
Appreciate the comments so far. |
