I am not sure if this has been discussed elsewhere, and if so, I apologize...
Okay, I have had my 3 Res Stormy's for several months now, and the more I look at the bloated Gi, and the offsetting Hood, I have been inspired to sew him a proper and source material accurate Gi and Hood. (The other two are for parts, using the legs to make a proper V2 Stormy with Comic Pack SS/FF lower legs). While I can appreciate what Hasbro was attempting, I cannot in good faith not attempt to not do this myself. Now my question is this... what kind of material should I use to make the Gi and the Hood, so they will both be loose fitting, and baggy, but not big and bulky as the Gi and Hood we were given? |

Try going to joann fabrics/michael's crafts and looking at the fabrice to see something you'd like to use. you buy it by the yard i believe, so you always have more if you mess up the first time

Just wish I had the sewing pattern for the Gi. I am not sure if cotton would work. Do you know what material the cloth Sideshow Stormy's Gi is made out of?

cotton would work fine, it glues very easy. heck, you could even use a white t-shirt!

The hardest part is going to be the Hood, I already know. With that wrap he has around it...
T-Shirt might work, just dunno... wanted it to look, special. lol |

Look for the Jolee's Botique Karate set (in the scrapbook section at most craft stores). You can mod that to fit or take it apart to make your own pattern based off of it. I used a black bandana that I got at Michaels to make the one for my Neo Samurai based on that set.
Also check out the customs by Obi-Shinobi and IIIzoeIII. They both do great soft goods for customs. |

Bandanna material will give you the best results for proper thickness and flow of cloth in this scale - imo. You can sew it if you want, but using fabric glue is less time consuming and it works just as well for this sort of application. As for a pattern - If you don't have something handy (real GI), look it up!
