I am wanting to get into scratch building seats, turrets, and generally the insides of vehicles(helicopters, troop carriers, etc.), and was wondering what materials the more experienced people on this site would recommend in the styrene(and whatever other materials I might need) department.
Thanks in advance.

Styrene would probably be your best bet for vehicle alteration (floors) or resin for external stuff (wings). You could use all sorts of things to build turrets (cans, PVC tubing, etc.) Just gotta open the old imagination. Seats would probably be done best with resin, maybe in a RTV mold. I dunno, maybe epoxy mold. Just need to experiment. There's no catch-all for scratch building. It's a dirty, smelly, often-toxic business.
