Will helmets and such from vintage joes fit 25th or PoC figures? I know backpacks will need to get modified a bit to fit the modern era joes.

I am looking to do a modern era Laser Viper. I am hoping the helmet will fit.

Many will...actually most helmets should not be a problem....the newer heads are a bit smaller than the vintage.

With some minor mods, the backpacks fit really well. Here's some examples of ones I did. In this case the larger helmet worked perfectly as the head had a lot of bushy hair. The backpack peg only needed to be shaved down a little because the position of it worked perfectly on this body.
http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...oc-ambush.html Here's a Razorclaw helmet on the ROC Pit Trooper header and it fits perfectly: Here's Mainframe. For some like him, you have to reposition the backpack peg or the backpack will sit too high up. There's some pics in this thread showing how the backpack peg was modded, but I can't find which page that picture is on right now. http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...dataframe.html Hope that helps. *update* The backpack mod pics are on page4 of that thread.

I personally don't like the vintage accessories as they lack the detail that the newer accessories have. I understand, however, that sometimes there is no alternative but to use a vintage part.

Yeah, in Mainframe's case, the vintage part looks outdated, as well as the hand held walkie talkie, but I did make a mod so that it can connect to the backpack though so it updates on the vintage one...haha.
