The press mold stuff is great for snagging little details off of other things but making full pieces? Not too sure that would work the best.

Bump for visibility. This stuff is great and can do a pretty good job. One can even build a lego structure to increase the pressure of the material to fill in the mold. I think there are vids on Youtube (at least there were).
A three part mold is a good way to replicate Joe helms (two parts on the outside along the seam, and one on the inside. The casting will not be perfect, but battle damage is a feature! |
