On the advice of TTT this has become it's own thread...
I'm thinking of taking a Snow Cat (or Wolfs Hound) and turning it into a vehicle for my Joe club Adventure Team members. Something akin to but not exactly like this: Maybe replacing the missle launcher with a crane? Putting some computers in the opening hatch at the back? First, can I replace the tracks on a snow cat with wheels? Is that too difficult for a novice like me? Second, is it better to use a vintage Snow Cat or do I need to buy the new version for the modern pegs?

This is a great idea for a project and I would definitely use a new Wolf Hound.

Thanks. I just picked up a couple of the club figures and it was like having flash backs to when I was 6 and my cousin had a bunch of these. I went to Big Lots to find something to adapt for them and couldn't find anything that was quite right. Then I decided that the Snow Cat was kinda sorta in the right direction. It needs to be bright yellow of course, remove the missiles and put in a crane like some of the smaller AT vehicles, or a radar dish. Any other suggestions from the experts would be greatly appreciated.

It's tracked and only available in vintage, but I think the HAVOC could be cool as well. Take out the top guns and replace with RADAR or a crane/hoist

I guess the first step is to buy a Wolfs Hound. I think I have a rewards coupon at home.

I'll buy the missile launcher from you if you're interested in selling it.

The HAVOC was one of my first choices. It looks a lot more like the vehicle pictured above, but the cramped cockpit with fingers lying prone inside throws it off for me. Also, I'm not looking to make that exact vehicle. Something close though.

Are you looking for the missile launcher from the vintage or the PoC version?
