I'm sorry if this is a repost, but I'm wanting to know how to fabricate my own vehicles from scratch. My friend showed me a video about a smelting plastic and that seems doable, but I dont know how I would go about making the mold. So any suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I used to work in molding industry, and cost of mold (even very small) is sick. But we were using Cad programing, CNC machining and all that stuff.

All I can add that if you use typical hobby casting methods, the cost is going to be through the roof.

I agree with the other posters regarding the cost of molding and casting custom vehicles to be ridiculously high. Not to mention all the separate parts to be cast....it's way too much work. It would be cheaper and easier to buy existing vehicles (even clearanced stuff or cheap old beat up ones) and just customize those. What kind of vehicles were you planning on doing?
