Hi. Like everyone else, I can't get the grappling-hook gun to stay on my Alley Vipers' backpacks. I figure there's a part of the peg they hook on that needs to be cut but I'm not sure where. Has anyone figured out an easy solution to this problem? If so, what is it?
Thanks! |

I had the exact same problem.
Basically, take your hobby knife of choice and start shaving down the side of the peg, a tiny, tiny bit at a time. In my case I shaved a little bit down on the entire thing, but when I say "little bit" I mean microscopic-level cutting to avoid ruining it. You really don't have to scrape off much to see a drastic improvement, but the peg is basically too fat to hold on to the grapple gun. Good luck! |

Wouldnt it be easier to sand a bit of the peg off rather than try to cut a slice from it?

Hasbro has actually fixed this on some of the newer AVs. The first couple I bought had the same problem as yours. So I just trimmed down the peg a bit. But the last ones I bought have been fixed so the gun stays snapped into place.

I like the clear rubber band or the tiny magnets gimmick.
I'm lazy and just did the clear rubber band, I have quite a few of them in use on other figures to.

i never got the poc version yet. but the 25th one someone thought of using small magnets, and that was the most brilliant solution i seen ever to arise about this problem..

Yeah, I just use the rubber band... although I definitely appreciate the new PoC backpack that actually works!

my poc alley viper's gun won't stay worth a crap. i hate the way the clear band looks, magnets sound like a good idea.

The cutting thing is what I thought of but I wasn't sure which side to cut. The side closer to the main part of the gun or the side closer to the trigger-guard?
