Thanks for this. I used it yesterday to give Gambit Maverick's lower legs. He now has ankle articulation.

Really, it just takes practice. It will get easier the more often you do it.

Geez, of course I thought of checking this after I fiddled around with my own joints. Forgot to tape up the pliers, now I got some nice detailing of the pliers on my Baroness knees.
Anyway, lesson learned, master Gene and thanks for this clear tutorial! |

Ok- How do I take the legs off at the hips? Is it a hot water thing, or do you need to pop the torso and then the legs come off, or crack the hips with a exacto knife and a hammer, as is done with opening up the torso, or is it something else? Noob questions I know, but eager to get this figured out. Thanks for your help. :-)

I use this same system more or less but with a rounded tips pliers no need of tape this way. Its a bit more difficult because it slides a bit but once you grab the right spot it will go also it is better when those pins really need to go inside and are not on the surface.
By the way I have the same set of screwdrivers lol what are the changes of me having them being on the other side of the atlantic eheheh

Used this tutorial today to swap Scarletts legs and feet with Mystiques. Mystiques (MU) legs have no screw holes. so i just gently spread them upward towards her head until the popped off. they popped right onto Scarletts body. I then heated her lower legs and Scarletts lower legs and pulled the feet out. Very easy. The only issue I had was that the Scarlett foot pegs are larger than the ones from the MU figure, so some trimming was required. The MU ankle pegs would have to be swapped with the Joe ankle pegs to make MU feet work on a Joe. Aside from the small differences in part sizes, it was an easy swap. This tutorial was very helpful!
