i am trying to do that awesome switch of the twins arms. i mangled tomax getting his arms off and am now practicing with a comic ss. i tried the screwdriver in the back trick. i know it doesnt work on gung ho. does it not work on ss either? any help will be appreciated.

I did some damage to mine trying to get the torso off, but in hindsight, I think applying more pressure than you want to with the screwdriver is necessary to get it to pop off. I was being too cautious with it, and did more damage as a result. You have to essentially feel like you are "breaking" him (which you are) to do it right, I think.

I use a pocket knife and pry apart the torso from the sides where the pieces are glued together. I'm not sure what you are doing trying to take it apart from the back -- I've never heard of that. what is the screwdriver in the back trick?

Cut under the arms in the arm pit. then use the screwdriver to try and pop him apart. He should pop apart pretty easy.
P.S. THIS DOESN'T WORK VERY GOOD WITH ZARTAN! |

It was posted elsewhere that you can stick a large, flathead screwdriver in the back, and then rotate it so that the torso pries apart. I have tried this 3 times now, and this method only worked easily once.

vs scratching the shit out of your toys has anyone thought to wrap the screw driver in a baggie first to prevent scratching the paint
