Homerun again Obi! I like your take on making swords, very accurate and detailed. I will definitely try this method when I make some new weapons.

I love this tutorial. I sometimes use electrical/vinyl tape cut into strips, for the wraps. It's thin enough to allow a crossover pattern that's sometimes used.
Very good though, now I have to find some styrene sheets. |

The correct "twist wrap" for the handle evades me still. At this scale, it's VERY difficult to do it right. So until I can master it, I'll just wrap the entire handle.
Thanks. |

The only way that I've found to get close to simulating twist wrap is sculpting it on. I'm still new to the customizing game so I'm not the best at it yet.

Very nice Obi-Shinbi! I think I'll this a try with my next ninja custom. Do you have any advice on scabbards? I was thinking of using coffee stirs as a basis.

Yes! I have used coffee stir straws, as well as flattened styrene tubing. My latest customs feature the coffee straws, which work rather well as long as you can find some small enough - but not too small. I lucked out one night, and found some at a bowling alley of all places. So, I grabbed a handful.
