i was wondering if anyone here has done business with joe armory? i ask cause they are really bad about answering questions both through reg email and through their site.
i ordered stuff from them....took 2 emails to get them to respond when i asked if my order was shiped....when they finaly responded all they said was it was shipped no date no tracking number(their site says all packages have a tracking number)....so i asked if they could clarify the email with the date it was shipped and tracking......they never responded even after several more emails. so if anyone has info or know the people who run it please share it with me.... thanks alot! |

He seems to be very hit-and-miss. Those, like myself, who've had everything go smoothly seem to feel he did very well.
Those who've encountered difficulties seem very unimpressed with his communication skills. From what I've seen he does eventually get it all sorted out, it just takes a long time and people feel left out of the loop while it's happening.

Actually, the owner is an aquaintance of mine, and I have bought and done a few deals with him with no problem. I have no issue whatsoever vouching for him.
He also runs a photography business full time, a children's playground part time, Joearmory, and a couple other things. Most likely what happened is the same thing that happens to me, I get covered up busy, and a few things slide thru the cracks and get missed/neglected. It's not intentional, or intended to be malice, but it happens. Also, when it happens, it can take a while to resolve. As a retailer, I've noticed that most buyers have developed an "instant gratification" attitude with regards to mail order and related communication. This is a by-product of the expected instant response of the internet, and I feel it is...well frankly, unrealistic. As a buyer, you have every right to expect that you will receive the items you purchased as described, and in a reasonable amount of time. The problem comes in when interpreting reasonable. Personally, I state very plainly on my front page that orders can take up to 4 weeks to make/process/ship and some items even longer, and still I have buyers sending me emails after a week asking why hasn't their order arrived. When dealing with ANY online retailer, you should do a few things to ensure that any discrepancies with your order or it's timeliness are handled as clearly and professionally as possible. Consider it your responsibility as a customer: 1) always reference your order number 2) always give your full name 3) if possible, give an order date 4) state clearly, concisely, and without any attitude what your issue is 5) wait 72 hours for a reply before emailing again 6) if a second email is necessary, mention that this is your second attempt at contact (again, no bad attitude) 7) if you can't get thru with email, give them a call. be clear, be concise, and be friendly. nobody wants to help out someone who is being a jerk, whether it's their "right" or not. 8) making public posts is generally NOT a good idea. see above for why. 9) if (and only if) you can't resolve the situation within the time frame allotted by Paypal (45 days) or your Credit Card company, then file a dispute. 10) after that point, if you feel you were not taken care of reasonably then feel free to post to a trading feedback section. Also, if you just can't hold your water and have to post about a perceived problem, then keep your statement clear, factual, and on the point. I promise, being a jerk about a problem is the fastest way to get moved to the bottom of the "issue resolution" pile. Now, you may or may not like what I've had to say here in regards to these things, and frankly that's your right. Remember though, that if you keep things cool, clear and professional that you have done everything within reason to brings things to a close and everything after that is not your fault. |

Remember though, that if you keep things cool, clear and professional that you have done everything within reason to brings things to a close and everything after that is not your fault. well my order arrived the box was dammaged and open and wet....so my issuew now is with the post office you ost brought up some good points...i can see if someone came balls out hardcore ranting and raveing and crap in their post then that will not hel anything.....but at the same time,,,,since i was told about joe armory from some fellow tankers i figured that maybe if i asked a question and explained the situation i could get some light shed on the matter.....maybe someone knows somethoing i would not....and i asume we as members of hisstank and the gi joe collecting comunity would help each other out then this would have been a good way of working it all out. i was unaware that he had so much other endevers that can explain the delay.....but also it would not take alot of time to drop a line saying "heres the tracking number" or "i am swamped but will get to you ASAP" that way the buyer can know and give a reasonable amount of time and from what i read of other posts to this one the common factor is lack of communcation......something all sellers should have an ambudence of but thats just me and how i would do things.....so theres no issue now i received the items and from what i can see so far everythings there i will know for sure when i closely look at it.....but for now its all gravy |

yup,
im joearmory! my father in law had a heart attack last month that backed me up a bit. everything is caught up now shipping wise, but voicemails on my phone, and emails are the first thing that get overwhelmed. i get a ton of emails daily, and if i miss a day or two, its backed up incredibly. i need a name and # to look into this, feel free to call me 985-502-8936 and well make sure this is taken care of. thanks! -john |
