Zefram, if the simple green doesn't work use some regular rubbing alcohol(isopropyl alcohol) 91% or better and some q-tips. The alcohol will take acryics right off with a little bit of rubbing.

Ok. So I have a few "junker" arah Vehicles around that I'm not doing much with besides parting out.
I do however have a mostly complete stinger (and I can easily get the few parts that I need). What I'm wanting to do is turn it into the Pimp Daddy Stinger. Gold and silver paint, rinestones, maybe some facbric on the seats. I used to do models (cars, military vehicles) but I wanted to know how does the plastic on the joe vehicles work with paint? Is it better to hit it with a light spray of say, white Krylon fusion and then whatever paint I want to use? Any thoughts or help would be great. Thanks!

Krylon Fusion seconded. I used it on my TerrorDrome repiant and it came out perfect.

Be sure to wash them very well, though... There are oils on the plastic... Even on the old ones... that need to be washed off for an even, blemish free coat...
Dish soap works fine... |

That's about what I thought. I'm going to give the stinger a nice warm bath tomorrow.
Now it's off to find some purple and leopard print fabric for the interior.

i have two custom questions.
1. removing factory paint on a head? best method? 2. Star wars figures that use a ball joint head. The hole is a little to loose to fit Joe neck posts. What would you do to shore it up? Thanks.
