I hate that I have to clean up or "fix" Hasbro's screw-ups, but I must do what I must do. If I knew going into this line that I would have to "custom" figures, I wouldn't have collected. The new MOTUC line will doubtfully ever need custom work. Here are some notable screw-ups either I or Andrew have resolved. Flint and Dusty are next on the list.
Leatherneck: new paint apps and construction. Serpentor: body switch and new paint apps Starduster: new leg paint apps Cutter: New head and skin paint apps Steeler: body switch and slight paint apps with added accessories Copperhead: new paint apps Breaker: new head Grunt: new head and body switch Short Fuze: new webgear, head/helmet Check out this link for more grand and creative customs: http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...d-customs.html Last edited by RockinHard; 03-26-2009 at 07:28 PM.. |

Leatherneck, Cutter and Serpy I can understand.
But the others are only a slight difference (and possible improvement). |

Thanks for the insight. However, I'd rather "fix" the figure to look more like its original form than not have the figure at all.

Hey, nothing wrong with making little improvements to existing figures, or modding them to be more true to originals.... I pretty much tweak every figure I buy in some way. Good work!

Nice job rockinhard. I've had to do some of this modification work as well. Infact I need to finish some of mine - Cutter still needs his head painted. Anyway, nice work.

You see something that can be fixed and you fix it. maybe it gives you something to do, and you get a bit more out of it. you get more bang out of your buck. all types of collectors out there make up the group.

I really like your Python Patrol Copperhead. He now looks more like his original ARAH counterpart.
