Hi all -
I am too lazy and don't have the personal time and don't feel like screwing up a perfectly good Hummer, so I am looking to for a hired gun. Here's what I've got, I just picked up a Desert Humvee http://www.yojoe.com/vehicles/05/deserthumvee/ But I want to customize it by painting in all the interior, exterior and engine area details. Only problem is I also want to paint the exterior in either desert camo, or to have a "used in the desert" look like a real Hummer - http://www.globalsecurity.org/milita...red-kitted.jpg The way the Joe Desert Hummer comes, it just looks too "pristine" and new, like this - http://www.defense-update.com/newsca...e_HMMWV_hr.jpg So anywho, if someone out there has the time and want to make a little scratch and is good at either painting camo or giving vehicles a "weathered" look, I'd like to talk to about subing out some work. Thanks, LMK - Eric |

No painters out there huh? No body want to make some extra bones? :(
Don't make me go out and play in the yard with it to get that "worn" look then. Eric

I'd suggest you let everyone know what you're willing to pay. That way, people know what to expect prior to agreeing to do anything, but you should also let them know what you expect prior to making payment.
Having an expectations exchange will ensure there aren't any "hurt feelings" later on (ie - you don't like the way the paint job came out, the person doesn't feel like painting it twice, etc). Just a thought ;) |

Well I don't want to pay $100 bucks (who would in their right mind?) but I kind of figured either someone would either state their fee when they responded or it would get worked out in the details as the deal was made and BEFORE the work was done.
I honestly don't even know what the going rate for something like this is? I am MORE than willing to pay a fair price, but it has also better be a FAIR price too for the services rendered. Give me some bids!
