When I saw this figured mention on the tank last week, I was stoked. Finally, a company made a blank figure made for customizing. I quickly went to the site and purchased the figure. The total price, which includes shipping, was $14.99. A little steep for a 3 3/4 inch figure, but I thought it would be worth it; it seemed to be a good base for a Batman custom.
I received the figure today. The first thing I noticed when I removed it from its package was how loose the arms and head were. I then procedure to compare his height to other figures. The Blanx figure is short; it is shorter than the X-Men Origins Wolverine figure. The Blanx figure is around three inches in height. I gave up on the idea of a Batman custom and figured I could use him for a smaller stature character, like Puck or even Robin. Well as I proceeded to move his head and arms, his torso split apart. The figure was held together with a screw like the older Joe figures. Well, the screw stripped from the plastic, and now he will not go back together. Needless to say, this figure is not worth the money, folks. I cannot recommend the figure to anyone. It is incredibly short, cheaply made and the price is way too high. |

Man, I was really tempted to pick one up. The only thing for me was that they're more on the comic book/cartoony side of sculpting (which would work well for super heroes). I would rather have a more realisticly proportioned Joe style blank.
Have you tried using a bigger screw to put him back together? Try that or fill the hole with green stuff or styrene and then re-tap it. Do you have any photos? |

Does it have a weird texture on the body? All the pics look like they're rough and need to be sanded.

This is disappointing. These have the potential to be great.

the best blank figures are very easy to get and not as exspensive. the marvel universe figures are perfect for what we do. if you notice for the most part the details on the figures are painted on not sculpted on. not all of them, but many of them.

Shame they tend to not have any accessories to toss in a bag and come up useful later, as far as being a dollar more than Joes. Still, quite a better alternative to a $15 short, fragile thing. I was surprised to see a blank My Little Pony on HasbroToyShop. It's a really cool fun idea, and I'd like to see it for some action figure scales. Closest thing was Stikfas, which really aren't the same. Thanks for the review, it may have wasted your cash, but at least you kept them from getting some of ours. |

They are 3 3/4 inches tall.
