Since the green repaint is an obvious option for Ace later on, I kinda thought maybe this'll work too:
The upper harness seems like it'd fit well enough, and a new helmet would make the transformation a little more convincing... I figure he'd make a decent Deep Six with a little effort. |

I'm gonna need better paints if I ever try... and the luck to find another Ace.

I decided to just dunk the whole body in dye this morning and this is the result:
When its said and done, I think it'll be closer to this: I'll either need better paint for the head or have avoid touching it to keep my Testors from wiping off. |

I used a liquid form, Bombshell. Just says, Alumilite Corp. I hope the fumes from boiling it don't lead to cancer when I'm 80. It'll soak into the soft PVC well enough but the hard plastic in the torso and thighs aren't so great.
Tis be Hawk's head with a brown paint job, Minstrel. Problem being that I used some 97 cent testors on a prayer that it'd stick. It doesn't, but it's good for concept. Yes, I saw your Liftticket, Cray. It's impressive... but I can't swear to him being Ace with that helmet. I planned on doing the same with Wildbill's body and a different fighter pilot helmet. And he appears to have two left feet. Last edited by Hicks_Royel; 03-16-2008 at 08:49 PM.. |

I still have plans to give him a deep water suit of some sort, but I'm thinking maybe something different from the robo-armor stuff of the 80's
