I just tried this method out. Works nicely. Way easier than splitting a torso. Thanks for the cool tip.

Glad I could help. Splitting a torso is extremely easy if you have a bench vise. Should I do a tutorial on that too?

actually yes, i've used my bench vise a few times but I always break the little tabs off inside the torso. Maybe that's a common problem ....IDK.

Yeah, those tabs will usually break. Not much you can do about it. Sometimes some of them stay intact, but it really doesn't matter if you're just gluing it back together anyway. I will try to get the tutorial done soon... now I need to see if I have a torso to split in my fodder...

I was gonna just split the torso in my vice, but It looked like they glued it pretty good and didn't want to risk my figure. This method is a lot less harsh on the shoulders. I just needed to reverse the upper arms as the factory put them on backward. Looked kinda strange with his triceps in the front. Again, great tip.

Hi, newbie question here, but I take it you had to split the torso first to get the arms out, am I correct?

Yes, though it can be done with the arms still intact.

NOTE: I managed to do this with elbow joints, and it worked perfectly. Thanks for this awesome guide!
