Anyone use this acrylic paint?
It's available abundantly at a gameshop just across the way from my work.. but I don't want to commit it to a figure it if it's not as good as Testors Model Master or others that people frequently use here? Recommendations? Horror stories? Thanks! |

Hmm,i use it on DnD and wargaming minis, and its pretty good imo. I have no experience with Model Masters paints, but imho it seems on par with GW paint. Then again, i prime all of my miniatures and go through alot more pre-paint work on them than on joes or custom sw figs. The best advice, i think, would be for you to buy a single pot and try it out on a cobra commander or other fodder-y type figure to see how it performs to your standards. I test all new paints on the poorly articulated potf2 star wars figures to see if i like them.
my 2 cents, your mileage may vary. Tenken |

P3 is some of the best you can get. I use it almost exclusively and given proper curing time it's got the best plastic adhesion out of any brands I've used, including Tamiya and Citadel.

Thanks guys! Shadowsun, what kind of time do you give it to try?
Do you guys normally prime your Joe figs before painting or do you just jump right in with the paint on the fig as-is? I think I will pick up some tonight and test it out on one of my many fodder figs. |

P3 is dry to the touch in a matter of minutes, but I generally give about a day before working the joints for full curing. You'll still have to deal with paint rub, don't get me wrong, but giving a day or so before rougher handling will dramatically cut down on the wear. |
