I want some new sub-teams with new characters. So far, I am looking at a 4-person team format. Here are some of my ideas...
Wizards of Oz Dorothy, based on Harley Quinn, Tin Man, War Machine (Spec: Master at Arms) Lion, X-Men Beast (Spec: Recon) Scarecrow, no idea (Spec: Intel) Riders of the Apocalypse (Dreadnok 1%ers) or The Four Horsemen (Cobra Viper Black Ops) Alley Viper, Range Viper, Viper, Hazard Viper Either team would have: War, Pestilence, Famine, Death The Four Musketeers The unfortunate thing for a classic foursome like Athos, Porthos, Aramis and d’Artigan The Four Musketeers (GI Joe Europe/Covert Ops) Athos, Porthos, Aramis and d’Artigan Four Winds (Ninja/GI JOE) Female Team North, South, East, West The Elementals Female Team Earth (Infantry/Camoflage) Fire (Demolition/Pyro) Air (Chemical Warfare/Pilot/Drone UAV) Water (Obviously naval combat) The Stooges (GI Joe) Moe (Squad Leader/Intel) Larry (Comms) Curly (Small Arms/Martial Arts) Shemp (Armorer) I am looking for an idea for a strong female team. Other team ideas: The Pantheon: (covert operations command and control operation internationally, each based on Greek or Roman mythological deities) Archangels: Accountable to a secret organization to influence global conflicts and to quell turmoil and inequities among nations. Very controversial, dark/anti-heroes. Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, Uriel, Saraqael, Raguel, and Remiel Your thoughts?

The Fantastic 4 and Beatles come to mind. Also TMNT, but that one might be a little hard to re-imagine as a spec-ops group.

Some good ideas for new Joe team members:
CallMeCarson--former ISIS member Gort--a fictional humanoid robot that appeared first in the 1951 20th Century Fox American science fiction film The Day the Earth Stood Still and later in its 2008 remake Neil deGrasse Tyson--no relation to Tyson chicken Vancity Reynolds--skilled in aviation Big George Memeulous--"Mom said if you swear I can't play x-box" Jeremiah Davis--he either became wealthy during the California goldrush or "plays da bass" (read in a ultra thick Tennessee accent) Jeff Fatt--always sleepy Last edited by Yeet; 12-07-2019 at 06:36 PM.. |

I personally like the concept of the four horsemen, though I'd apply it to the 'noks instead of the troops- perhaps The Iron or Steel Horsemen of the Apocalypse (too wordy for a title, but that's me in a nutshell).
I think over-the-top heavy weapons in regards to the Stooges, perhaps a Roadpig like intellect/persona without the malevolence, armed in the same manner that Joes like Salvo, Heavy Duty, and Roadblock are. In short, "big dummies with big guns"... though you'd have to have at least one with average intelligence to keep the other three reigned in during combat. I'm also with Mr. Hebime in the TMNT camp. I never liked mixing lines as a kid, mostly due to scale differences, but dammit, if Mega Marines were a thing, why can't a Teenage Mutant Ninja Squad??!? And lastly, The Exploited, Fear, or GBH could be the house band at whatever bar the Dreadnoks frequent.

I missed one...
KISS The Star Child The Cat The Spaceman and the Demon. Any thoughts on military specialties for each?

KISS could be the Joes equivalent of the Dreadnoks. Their missions are so specialized and deadly that only Paul and Gene survive each mission, which is why the other two members always change.

I like the TMNT idea. Donatello-engineer, Leonardo-team leader, Michelangelo-medic, Raphael-weapons specialist. Splinter is the controller/planner, April Oneil - intel, Casey Jones-heavy weapons support.

The code name for the team can be a tongue-in-cheek reference to the cartoon.
