hey all, finally got around to uploading these custom figs. I still need help identifying where the heads came from. A friend of mine pointed out that the bodies are from the 2012 Nickelodeon figures (hand painted better with more detail) and also that the bandanna's (the separate part that is blowing in the wind) is also from those figures, glued onto these heads. So keep that in mind if you can help identify where these heads are from. Any help greatly appreciated!

So I recently picked up these 2 custom ninja turtles at a toy fair (Leo and Raph) and so naturally now I have to make the other two. The bodies were from the 2012 Nickelodeon figures but painted up with way more detail and looked super cool. The heads were definitely not the heads from this series. They were way better. I've searched every turtle toy line online but have not found these heads.
What ever they are from, it looks like he dremeled out the bottoms so it fit the neck better. Also, he incorporated magnets inside the head and top of the neck so the heads are actually way more possible and can do any angle. anyways, back to my point, since i cant find these, anyone know where these turtle heads are from?

how tall are they, typical turtle scale? i have no experience with any of the post original figures, but i can say i've never seen those heads, though they are awesome, a perfect mash up of the style differences between the older figures and comics.
edit: based on the color difference on the inside, I'd say these are definitely a custom resin cast or even made from polymer clay, and may well be an original sculpt. good news is, since you have them in hand, you may be able to find someone willing to cast them, if you don't mind putting the magnets in.

They are a little under 4 and 1/2 inches so yeah typical turtle scale roughly. I think the inside color is just the original color of the heads before the customizer painted them to match everything else he painted... but that's just my guess.... its possible they were custom cast though. thats what I'm trying to get to the bottom of...

it'll be in one single post, bro. It's the same method I used to post the screens. If I'm not mistaken, you should be able to "edit" them in later, but don't quote me there, I haven't done that yet (though i should, to replace all of the pics I dumped from old posts before I knew how this worked). personally, I like the visibility from separate posts, though members may or may not find that annoying- if they do, I've never heard about it, but seeing as many "all in one's" as I do got me thinking.
can't wait to see em,I'm almost as into TMNT as I am Joe & Nintendo!

I noticed the other night when I uploaded these pictures, that when I finally posted them, they did not appear in the order that I put them in. I even tried to fix it in preview before I posted them. Is that a normal thing for them to just randomize your photos regardless of the order you put them in? It really doesnt make sense to me...

I think I figured out what is going on. When I quote your picture post, I see you selected the code that starts with [url]. You need to select the BBCode Full option. That way the code will start with [img]. If you quote this post and look at the code for this picture of my turtle, you can see what I'm talking about. You can then post those codes in any order you want.
