Thank you. Let’s see if this works. https://ibb.co/9hgzN8m
This is a picture taken early on while I was planning the layout. The missile tubes were rolled sheet plastic used for creating architectural models. I used a lot of this type of plastic in various thicknesses, patterns and finishes. The deck when finished was covered with plastic diamond plate in 1:18 scale. One of my custom Cobra interceptor jets can be seen in the pic. I made four of these with the 1998 Conquest reissues by cutting off the forward swept wings and replacing them with a wing shape closer to the wing profile of an F-5E. |

I love this! I made a AMPHIBIOUS ASSULT SHIP a couple of years back along with a Mark V SOC! This COBRA battleship would be a perfect ship to launch an attack on! Love these big projects!

I was just searching the web to see if this old creation of mine could still be found, and that brought me here. I built this through the spring and summer of 2000. My idea at the time was that toy shows were boring and since I had built a lot of custom figures and vehicles, why not create something that could rival the Flagg, and be a centerpiece at toy shows. I have additional photos I could dig up and post of this project. I’ll try to label the parts I used. I remember the total cost to build it was just under $1000. Sadly I never completed it and sold it along with the rest of my collection in 2002. I’ve always wondered what became of it.
Ok, right off the bat, what are the dimensions of this custom, if you remember? So, about how wide and how long was the finished product? Reson why I am asking is, I love the playability of the USS Flagg, but quite frankly, most of it is just a big landing platform. At 7ft long, it's too big to display in most rooms. Then take into consideration how many people end up customizing a bottom deck for added play value. I've got my own set of plans drawn for a bottom deck for my Flagg. Now, seeing this custom battleship, I'm thinking this may be a better alternative to having a large ocean vessel with a custom bottom deck diorama that doesn't take up as much space as the USS Flagg. So, any information you can give is greatly appreciated. I am definitely creating a folder to save images of this to. Jason |

If I remember correctly the hull, without any of the weapons attached was just under 8 feet long 26 or 28 inches wide and about 18 or 20 inches tall. With the weapons attached and the deck completely fit out, It was over 8 feet long about 32 inches wide and about 40 inches or so tall. I’m currently posting more photos on my joes_brothers Instagram account as it’s the easiest way for me to do it and provide details of each picture along with my other custom work from those days. There was once a plan for me to build a 20 foot long USS Flagg. I’m posting what I have on that project there as well. I’d love to see your USS Flagg lower deck project. I had plans to build a 4 to 5 foot long destroyer to accompany my Super Flagg. One of my three USS Flaggs was being converted for Cobra to sail along side the Cobra battleship and display my custom Cobra F-303 squadron. The 4 to 5 foot long destroyer would be a really great size for a custom ship with a nice little lower deck that had lots of room for dioramas. |

Thank you! I’m posting all my work on my Instagram account joes_brothers. It’s been many years since I posted pictures of this on the old Bivouac website. Anyone here from those days? It’s so cool to see there’s still interest in this, and I’ve definitely missed the Joe community, especially the customizers! There is so much great work out there. I’ve been going through this site for days looking at all the work that’s been done.
