Having picked up some odd fodder lots, I found that I have a few vests that have been sliced open. One of note is the Resolute Roadblock vest, sliced right down the middle. Is there a good way to repair such an item? I would guess some kind of backing material would be best, but what?

Electrical tape works, it's thin and with a bit of super glue it holds

So superglue the adhesive side of the tape to the inside of the vest?
