Hi all. I am trying to build a new Joe sub-team (similar to Night Force), but it will be a strict desert specialist team...the team will be called Desert Squad Bravo. The team will be commanded by Dusty, who in my equivalent of Joe canon, has been promoted to Sgt.
I will be making these guys out of Marauder parts, with one already completed, a Desert Operations Commando, code-named Shock and Awe. The next three members of the team I have come up with are a female helicopter pilot of Hispanic descent code-named Sirocco (makes sense to have a helicopter pilot's name be another word for a sandstorm considering what the rotors do to the desert sands), a female Medical Specialist from the United Kingdom code-named Triage, and a British SAS explosives expert code-named Bombast. I have 4 other members planned, but these are the ones I need the assist in naming. The first one is a Canadian jeep driver of Black descent. The second is a Russian Spetsnaz mountaineering soldier. The third is an Australian tracker. And The final one is an Egyptian desert scout. If anyone can assist me in naming these four guys, it would be most appreciated. Thanks. Look in Bellamos book and use the unused code names from there. That is what I do to add new Joes

Since you're using marauder parts, call one of them "Marauder".

Here is my current list of marauder member customs. Also, google XCOM nickname list and that will give you 100 or so to chose from.

Dune Runner, Sand Blast and Sand Panther are my 3 desert warfare custom characters with Dusty.
my mountaineer is called Icepick. You could look up mountaineering on Wikipedia and just pick a technical term you like. Or pick a name of a Russian mountain. Rev, Roadhog, Redline, Swerve, Torque, Drive-train, Powerslide, Gearshift, Throttle, Horsepower, Joyride, all vehicle driver names I've used. Hell, go on the Transformers wiki, look up the list of Autobots and pick a name you like. 6 of those are Transformers... |

Shock and Awe could be a great demolitions/sapper team. As for the Desert ops grouping...
Drifters?

Shock and Awe is my Desert Operations Commando...stealth in the desert until the shooting starts. Bombast, the British SAS officer is my explosives/demolitions expert. As far as the group's name, while Drifters is a good one, I am going to stick with Desert Squad Bravo as it is kind of evocative of the U.S. Navy's "Seal Team 6".

Hardline (Desert Mountaineering Specialist - Russia) Oasis (Desert Scout - Egypt) Off Road (Desert Terrain Driver - Canada) Paladin (Desert Tracker/Communications Specialist - Australia) Shock and Awe (Desert Operations Commando/Second in Command - U.S.A.) Sirocco (Desert Gunship Pilot - U.S.A.) Triage (Desert Medical Specialist - United Kingdom) Last edited by Sneak Peek 1974; 05-31-2019 at 04:18 PM.. |
