Can any speak to whether Lego head gear can be outfitted with Joes to any degree of success? Specifically, I'm curious about the Santa hats, but any accessories would be a good indicator.

I won’t say it’s 100% for every piece but I don’t even think that most LEGO pieces would work even for pinhead figures like 25 Roadblock or Will Bill.

I have seen some people hollow out some of the older castle helmets. Specifically, this one:
Grabbing the closest LEGO hair piece I had and the only Joe sitting on my desk, it worked without any modification. So, thinning the walls of helmets, will work as long as there is not a chin strap, in some cases. Last edited by hushed; 12-19-2018 at 06:10 PM.. |

Not to long ago I seen a custom using a Lego afro that looked really good. I'll try to dig up a pic.

I do it all the time. there are some jems out there to. you just have to do some dremeling to get the socket out of the inside. I've used hair, hats, helmets, etc. weapons can also work well in some case's. lego junk is a hidden bonus you wouldn't think would work but does in most case's. and can be cheap to buy to. I buy a ton of the knock off stuff, strip the parts I need then sell the rest at my table when I do con's it always sells and I still make money off them.
find something you like, Dremel out the socket inside and you should be golden. |
