Cut out the upper divider between the cargo area and cab today. Slow progress, but liking how it’s turning out.
I’m also contemplating cutting away the windshield guards and installing clear windows. Is anyone a fan of the fence-style protective guards?

I think you should do windows. Not a fan of the prison bar style window.

Since it looks like you may have to build up a platform for a figure to stand on through the gun port, I wonder if the gun turret from a Cobra Hydrofoil Moray would work? Jason |

I’m thinking of installing a platform that can fold up and out of the way when not in use; anything else would kind of be in the way to access the forward seats. I know IRL the front doors on most MRAPs rarely get used by the driver and shotgun when you can use the rear entry. It’s usually a pain in the ass to climb up and in through the comparatively smaller door with all your battle gear on.

I’ve been struggling to maintain forward momentum on the Blast Vehicle project. Last night I cut out two more cab floor sections for the other two vehicles, and today I’ve been trying to figure out a good way I could design a simplistic set of rear troop seats with stowable bottom halves that can fold up for more cargo space. I spaced out 3 seats per side and have a good idea of how I want to attach them to the body... But I don’t have any good ideas yet as to how to fabricate the seats. My allergies have me wiped out at the moment too, so I’m giving up on it for the evening.

I’m at the point now where I need to build an interior for the cab section. Trying to find options but not rush and make it cheesy.

This was my first experiment creating the troop seats - this is just the backs, but it fits very nice and securely and I may not have to use any adhesives. The bottom portions will be attempted once I get the 2mm diameter metal dowels I ordered online. The seats will attach to those and will hopefully fold up and stow the way I envision them to.

So I finally received some components to continue working on the troop seats earlier last week, and I had some time this afternoon to try to set up something to see how they’ll work. A bit of trial and error here, but finally got one seat in place. Pretty happy with this. Folds up nicely, and the seat back works as an effective stop to keep the bottom portion from completely folding downwards.
And I realize that this build isn’t on topic for the original heading of this thread, so the next progress post I’ll probably make under a new thread and reference this thread to show the earlier work done. Not much else has been done to this aside from trying to fill in some of the annoying dinosaur claw marks. I used some green stuff but it doesn’t readily adhere to the plastic. Was wondering if there’s a better way to seal it, or prep the surface before application...?

That's why I wanted it until I saw the stupid gimmick that completely ruined it. I just don't have the patience to build the interior.
