I’ve bought most of what I have on Amazon. Search for polystyrene sheets; there’s an assortment of thicknesses you can get. I usually get the assorted bags. You can also get round and rectangular tubes, as well as angled quantities.
Pictured is a door I made for my True Heroes Sentinel 1 U-53 Helicopter out of those sheets, just to show how good it can look. THAT project has been languishing in one of my “need way more time” stages.

Has anyone taken the front end/hood piece off the Blast vehicle yet?
The way the Spring is attached has me a little concerned. I’m wanting to detach it to paint it to match the rest of the upper half of the truck.

I didn’t get to spend any time working on mine this evening as I’ve come down with something terrible at the end of work today. I’m just wiped out. Hopefully I feel better in the morning.

I’ve been wondering about that too. Disabling the spring shouldn’t be too difficult, but the metal rivets holding the hood to the bumper seem a but problematic. I’m thinking ahead to painting the body, and it would be easier with the two separate. But yeah - if anyone else figures that out, please share.

I should try to separate them soon, maybe early as tonight. Last night I got the rest of it disassembled and gutted the inside completely removing all traces of the launcher and I removed the inner walls that separated the cab from the back end. Mainly used an Exacto since the plastic is so soft. I did have to dremel cut the pieces for the launcher. Going to try and find vintage Joe parts that I want to add to it later today at a local vintage shop. Going good so far.

I did get the front end separated on the Blast vehicle.
I had to dremel away the plastic piece holding the metal pin in place. I’ll try to figure out a way to fix it back after I’m finished painting but the Spring isn’t that important to me. As long as the hinge works I’m good. I used Krylon on mine and started painting the upper portion last night. The plastic actually took the paint very nicely. I have had issues with paint not sticking to some plastics. Due to that issue I did have a scrap Ninja Battle Cruiser lying around so I’m cutting up the interior of that to use as my interior cockpit for this vehicle. Mine is officially APC Mark II.

I got the cab floor where I like it yesterday. Now I can start planning the layout. I’m really wanting to try molding the interior parts somehow for re-use in the other two that I’ll be working on after this one’s finished.

TRU is discounting these as part of liquidation: 20% off then an additional 10%. Original price is 29.99. Figure 22.60 before tax

Sadly, my TRU has been closed (final) since about 2 weeks ago. Literally as I was walking towards the store, an employee walking out of the store informed me they were finished.
