The Blast Vehicle is a very nice size for Modern Joes. The problem lies within the cab interior; it’s completely barren. There are tiny pegs in the floor for what I assume are the JW figure size foot pegs. But I’m really digging it. Still awaiting my Rescue Rig and Textron Tiger.

Yeah, the cab of the Rescue Rig seems a bit small as the real -life version has room for a gunner’s third seat high and center of the cab. Still looks good though.

Thank you! I am thinking of this as a munitions transport vehicle within base. Sort of like the small delivery trucks and vans (Kei Vehicles) used in Japan.

Please keep us updated. I’m anxious to see what all ideas people come up with for these two vehicles.

Yeah, that is undersized. The cab and the bed should be at head level for the standing figure. But it’s fine for a toy. Certainly not the worst Joe-size vehicle I’ve ever seen.

Yes, that title of worst Joe size vehicle belongs to the ROC Night Raven. Plus at least the Rescue Rig has rolling wheels.

I bet any vehicle one could find at Goodwill or St. Vincent De Paul Society of roughly the right size could work, at least as a base. Save some time fabricating out of styrene.

I picked up the Gryosphere Blast Vehicle tonight.
I like it’s potential. My first step will be to attempt to fully disassemble it so I can start trying Joe parts on it such a laser cannon or missile rack. I’ll toss the Gyro Ball in cane with it and remove the launcher machinism. Hoping to cover up/eliminate the round hole where the ball launches from.

After reading someone mentioned possibly using the newer Elite Force Armored Humvees for the interior of the Blast Vehicle, I started looking into how that might work. Looks pretty good, actually. If I cut off just behind the rear seat and just ahead of the front firewall, a little trimming along the sides and it might set right inside of frame. And I’ve already seen someone utilize the gunner turret on the Blast Vehicle, though that will also take some modification as the mounting ring is too large.
