While learning about paints (currently on Tamiya, which is ok but fumey) I have found info about Vallejo's Premium and Surface Primer lines. Apparently the binder for these paints is a Acrylic-Polyurethane binder that they claim is extra tough. Their FAQ also states that they are suitable for brush application (although generally used in an airbrush). Has anyone used these lines with Joes?
I am interested in the strongest, most durable paints that are nontoxic (which are also available to me) and these might be it. The painted figures will be playtoys, so the paint needs to be tough! (I'd post this on Joecustoms as well, but Parts Unknown is IP blocked by those chaps). Cheers |

Use regular Acrylic Vallejo and a strong brush on sealer like Modge Podge.
It pretty much glues the paint on. They have it in gloss and flat and it's pretty cheap for a tub.

Thanks for the heads up, I do have a few small tubes of MP Matte I picked up last time I was stateside. I also have most of a bottle (several years old) of Futura. I wonder if the two could be mixed for a harder semi matte coating?
