Just started painting figs and I need a little advice. I'm definitely digging the Testor's Model Masters acrylic colors, but need help on which colors to grab. If anyone could give me the names for the best colors to use for the following I would be very grateful:
Caucasian and african american skin tones Matching the dark blue Cobra trooper uniforms Matching the not-so-vibrant red for figs like the 25th CGs Matching the MTF Terra Ops brown |

I just cracked open a model masters light skin tone color. I was very happy with this one for head sculpts. You can add a little brown to tan the skin a bit.

Thanks for the info guys. Is there much of a difference between the Tamiya paint and Model Masters?

I recently bought a custom tiger force rock and roll which was nicely done, but they used a MTF blonde bearded light Caucasian head with the Rock Roadblock V23 Battle Kata body and a little bit of yellow painting for the TF customization. Not a bad figure, it works and I like it. Unfortunately, the forearms skin tone does not closely match the head and not painting the arms leaves the Arishakage clan tattoo on his arm, and there is no way RnR is a ninja. So, does anyone think the Model Masters light skin tone matches the MTF light skin tone or have a suggestion for a viable paint match?

I wish you luck in matching factory skin tone. I just end up painting the face and arms/body with my color skin tone so they match. Just paint around the eyes. I just mix a bit of light brown to white untill I get the color I want.

Caucasian and african american skin tones Matching the dark blue Cobra trooper uniforms Matching the not-so-vibrant red for figs like the 25th CGs Matching the MTF Terra Ops brown I use leather brown and ogre brown for African tones. French blue with a light black wash will get you close to troopers. Insignia red is a tad duller than their other reds, but not a perfect match for CGs. Leather brown might also work for terra ops. Possibly dark tan, as well. Or a combo therein. Quote:
