hello i have a question about painting a mobat. i recently sprayed my mobat with krylon fusion light grey. unfortunately the paint was a few shades too light. i have been unable to locate a darker shade of krylon fusion so my question is can i use a spray paint not specificly designed for plastic to paint a second coat on top of the fusion and not damage the plastic?

I would not attempt it !
Krylon Fusion is a very finicky paint...to the point where if you re-coat outside of the suggested times on the can label the paint will heavily crack. Adding a different type/brand of paint on top of Krylon Fusion is almost a guaranteed disaster to the point where you may not be able to recover a paintable surface. Testing is your only option, lay down some Fusion on some spare or junker parts then try your other paint on top...but again, different re-coat times can have different results. Even painting on different days weather & humidity wise can create varied results, back when I used to spray paint I did all the parts on the same day in hopes of consistent results.

Wait what is this really a thread Ratel didn't start?
Seriously to answer the question No I wouldn't attempt this. Depending on your choice of paint on coat 2 over the Krylon may glob up. Too risky check your local depot for a plastic paint.

Would doing another coat of the krylon paint help darken it, or is it just the paint hue itself that is too light? I know sometimes the first coat can be a touch lighter or even transparent if it were sprayed a bit thin.

2nd post I would agree on the "test" I would go ahead and test it with an actaul model spray like Testors, on all the ARAH vehicles I use Testors Model paints, preferably Model Master line
