This might seem like a silly question but what do most of you use to rejoin the torso when you are ready to put the parts back together? What adhesives have you found worked best and which ones nearly ruined figures. I would test out a lot but my source of figures to customize is limited as there are no more around my neck of the woods till the movie figs start hitting shelves or I order them from the web. As I'm short on cash right now I don't wont to waste to many of these guys. Thanks in advance.

Well, so far I tried 2 figs using this method. The first one worked great(Desert Crimson Guard). The second I tried a female to see what happened to let ninjapleazee know the outcome, and I too was wondering. The Scarlett didn't completely pop, more like it was starting to pop and then decided to start breaking a little. The top of the back of the torso started to bend a little because the torso didn't completely pop appart. Will have to try again maybe lower on the torso/arms to see if it will pop loose.
jllewis80- Not a silly question.. I wanna know too, right now I'm using some chinese glue some guy sent me, works real well, but I'd like to know too, I know someone told me model cement.. so I might get some of that too. |

The pliers thing works like half the time...I usually end up bending the rings in the shoulders before the torso snaps along a seam. The times it works it's been like magic, but when it doesn't I start to cuss because I know I have to start drilling holes and patch them up when I'm done >_<

Looks like a good method, i was using a knife under the underarm, but it looked like it could have lead to a fatal injury at times.
Will try it out nex time i have a crack at a new custom. |

Like I said on the first page, I use really big channel lock pliers (20 inch I believe)
Also, like DrNightmare said, sometimes the shoulders get damaged (It's a rare occurance with me) typically just when the figure has way too much glue holding it together |

I might be wrong about this, but I often put the whole figure in the owen for 3-5 minutes, on 100 c. I think that it helpes with the glue issue, somehow it have allways worked out allright when I've had the figure in the owen before cracking the torso.

I used this method twice yesterday and it worked really well. Thanks a lot! The plier method works 3 out of 4 for me and now the Joes are more expensive I need a method that works 100% of the time.

I don't even bother cracking torsos anymore. I just swap arms at the shoulder swivel using an exacto to sever the joint. It's much, MUCH quicker, easier, and safer to myself and the fodder.

LMAO!! Truer words have never been spoken Anyways back to Joes... I'm gonna have to try this method. Haven't split a figure yet because the only method I had heard of was an exacto. When I use an exacto, trust me, there will be blood. This sounds alot safer to me and the Joes.
