I went to Hobby Lobby today to pick up some paint for a few customs I want to do. Most of my customs have just been switching parts and webgear around, but I have a few things I want to paint. What kind does everyone use? I was overwhelmed when I got there and wasn't sure what would work out best. Any suggestions?

Testors enamel works great. best paint out there for appearance, but not good for "playing". takes a little while to dry but it goes on like glass and has a great finish.

wow.... dont listen to him!
Testor model masters ACRYL!!!! Again I say ACRYL, Enamel is a no no! There are countless threads about this not to mention the one that is stickied at the top of the customs forum area... http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...e-customs.html Do a quick forum search.

I second what Fierce Krypton said! DO NOT use Enamel! It works on vintage figures but they are a different type of plastic than the new figures. If you use Enamel on softer plastic it will NEVER dry. I used some Testors Enamel grey paint on a soft plastic helmet from the vintage line (This was a similar plastic to what most of the new figures are made of now) That paint stayed tacky for years! The only thing that made it stop being sticky was the layers of dust, dirt and hair that applied itself to the tacky paint.
