Got a question for some of you military weapons experts. I have searched & searched for this info, and come up empty handed on my own.
Both BBI & World Peacekeepers offerred weapons sets. A lot of the weapons in the sets looked identical, with maybe BBI having a better paint job. One weapon offerred is a mortar that has kind of an acorn shape cap on the top & bottom of the tube. Anybody know if this was based upon a legit military weapon, and if so what is the name of this particular mortar? Thanks, Jason |

Just a note, BBi is much more accurate in size and detail to 1:18 scale (4-inch).
I beleive the weapon that you are speaking of is the following: FGM-148 Javelin (Anti-tank missile Launcher)

Actually, thinking further, you are probably mean the US M47 Dragon Man-Portabe Anti-Tank Missile system with loose ammo round & folding stand.

Gonna concur on the Dragon. Everything Bbi (and PTE, though with less accuracy) did was based on a real-world weapon.

Yeah the dragon is it, and I thought it was called a dragon but I was doing a search for "dragon mortar." I didn't realize it was an anti tank missile. Thanks for the help.

And just a quick Google search the Javelin has replaced the Dragon. It's funny, with bi-pod I thought for sure it was a mortar.
