I'm looking to build my hydra army. I've had no luck picking up any MU Hyrda or CA Comic series Hydra. Anyway I'm looking for a basic(Green if possible) gi joe body. i've seen pictures of the dollar store duke. I think that would work pretty well. any other thoughts?

Dollar General Shipwreck is a pretty basic green figure. I'm pretty sure I've seen some Captain America Hydra figures still at Wal Mart recently too. |

Here's a potential source for your DG Duke bodies

I have a few of the hydra soldiers but they kinda suck. & i can only find the movie version. w/ a simple headchange & paint the browns yellow on the dg duke it would be way better than the ca line.

After looking around I really think the Gi Joe Retaliation Cobra Trooper would be an awesome fit for hydra soldiers. just a lil paint is all they would need.

So I picked up 4 retaliation troopers anyone interested in trading me my blue helmet & webbing for some black? What I've decided to do in my 3.75" universe is have cobra be an extension of hydra. one of the heads i guess. & GI Joe will be an extension of Shield. I'm gonna use the Night Vipers as Hydra soldiers when I can get some. they are already green w/ a yellow logo on the arms. thanks for all of the input.

I remember seeing some of those Hydra CA troopers at Marshals and TJ Maxx about 2 months ago. They probably are still there.

The blue gear from the trooper takes black or even brown rit-dye really well. I was colouring some other things and threw the blue gear in the pot for fun and black in just a few seconds!
