The upgrades look great. Very effective and adds a ton of personality to the Cobra ranks.

Thanks! I think they turned out pretty good as well.
Oh, i see. I hate when real world problems get in the way of our hobbies. Thanks. That was exactly what i was going for. I have a little over 10 of these guys, and while the uniformity looks good (especially when they're lined up), it can get a bit boring as well. |

Looks good, though because I watch way too much wrestling, he looks more like he's trying out for the WWE due to his muscles...

Eureka! The MTF grenade loops make nearly perfect sai holders for Ice Vipers:
The brown is not a 100% flawless color match, but it's way better than the sais falling out all the time.

If you want to use the hat that came with Sgt Slaughter from the Warthog, it fits much better on Sgt Smasher from this year's con set than the smaller one he came with.
The one I have was already painted, but the regular color would look fine too. It fits much better and doesn't fall off. Here's the one he came with originally...

Nice. Are you going to still keep the original hat or sell/trade it off?

I'm actually going to sell off the entire figure, I'm not a fan.

I was inspired by nighthawk's thread, and wanted to create some diversity in the ranks by making my own specialized Cobra Troopers. So, having waited for Marauder Inc to reopen and for the package to get here, i finally got the last gear i needed today. Well, less talk, and more photos. Here we go:
Cobra Sniper Trooper I gave him some webgear with straps, thinking that he should be able to climb high to take the shots, and rapel down afterwards. It had the bonus of having a hole for the radio, so he can keep in contact with the rest of the squad. Hat instead of a helmet is just for diversity, and because he will hopefully stay away from the thick of battle. Cobra RPG Trooper Not much to say about him. I gave him goggles, because it looks good, and the Viper vest in lack of a better option. Cobra Close Combat Trooper This guy is the first one through the door, and needs to be prepared for combat in close quarters. So i gave him a shotgun, as well as a riot helmet with face shield and some body armer for protection. It's hard to tell from the picture, but the pouches on his leg have been replaced by some C4, in case he needs to breach a door. Cobra Heavy Weapon Trooper I wanted a trooper to be able to cover the other grunts, as they move in on the enemy. So i gave him a SAW rifle, and the Stinger Driver webgear with lots of ammo pouches. Again, goggles look good. As the webgear has a holster on the back, i replaced his leg holster with a black pouch. Bonus: Cobra Dock Worker At some point, i really want to make a diorama of Cobra dock, with a Moray in the water, an ASP battery and a lot of other details. Even though it's probably not going to be anytime soon, i decided to make a dock worker. He's not supposed to be battle ready, so i removed harness, helmet and his knife sheath, and gave him a fatigue cap and a tablet for checking supplies/docking permits/whatever.
