No worries, man. With all the time and money I've sunk into this thing done if it hairlips everyone from here to Kansas City!
Not a real update today, but I do have an update from the aircraft front. I hit the motherload at Big Lots. They finally started selling the F-18 again! I saw six of them on the shelf, so along with a Chinese APC, I bought three of them. Now my fleet is up to five. That's practically an attack squadron by my terms. I have five skystrikers, too, so it works out. I might get more if supply and money happen to align. Also, here's an interesting toy I found at TRU. And it might feed my desire to have some sort of twin rotor helicopter on my carrier. It's a Tonka Rescue helicopter and despite the lack of real cargo space and a silly single man cockpit, I thought that I could gut it out and make a real heli out of it. There's just one little problem. I can't get it apart. Tonka apparently puts their toys together with a special kind of screw with a triangular tool. I'm going to have to build a special tool, but it shouldn't be anything my bench grinder can't do. Finally, here's another interesting product from Kmart. And Ace almost fits in the cockpit! I have to figure out some way of making more room. It has a gimmicky little sound board that goes off when you press buttons, but I took that out pretty easily. The gear is also built into the underbelly of the plane, which is a big problem. I'm going to try to rival SuperFlankers skills with this one and build some retracting gear for it. We'll see how that turns out. But it's a nice little Joe scale jet. Not sure if I'll put it on the carrier, but it might be nice for a future project. I also see you got that piece of crap f-117,i was hoping for better quality, and a landing gear that doesn't look like squares. oh well

Additionally, I picked up the Dollar General "A-21" (A-10). No big cannon out the front? We might have to fix that...

any pics of it mext to a pte f-18 for size. I might need to get one if pte doesn't reproduce the a-10. Whats an a-10 without the gatlin' gun!
i just hope it doesn't look like a pregnant a-10 :http://www.murdoconline.net/wp-conte...two-seater.jpg You can also see the F-18 in the background of the second picture. The DG A-10 is pretty comparable in size. It has nice retractable landing gear and takes a page out of the Cobra Rattler playbook with a dorsal-mounted machine gun pod. The one weird thing is that it has two hardpoints but no bombs. The other thing is, it actually has a "glass cockpit." Everything in the cockpit is clear plastic: the seat, the console, everything. Weird...

I think it's chinese. All chinese stuff is basically Russian knock-off stuff and this thing looks about as russian as it gets. It's actually more like a Stryker. Pretty cool, though. I think this'll be a cobra vehicle...

also,im about to do a 1:18 scale t-45. I was at a model airplane auction yesturday and paid $25 bucks for this: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...&q=t-45&hl=en#
its actually around 1:16 or 1:14th but it is like 6-8 inches longer than a skstriker. I also have a quick question. Since it is made of foam,i want it to have a smooth finish and be slightly stronger,if i airbrushed thinned gesso, would it have a smooth finish?

I'm not sure if you can airbrush gesso. This stuff has the consistency just above toothpaste. Airbrushing is usually only successful when it's thinned out. I don't think gesso is really necessary. I used gesso because I wanted some resistance to denting from constant weight on the deck. I don't think you'll have that problem with your T-45.
