This has been an incredible read. I gotta tell ya, based on what I see here, if I had the choice between your flagg and that giant plastic husk hasbro put out, I'd pick yours everyday of the week and twice on Sunday, Fantastic work, man, keep it up. I wish you well with your family business, your girl (ship) will be waiting more patiently than the rest of us, |

Someone posted about future floor crap(can't think of name).. it spreads over the surface so it's nice and even, you can mix it with your paint.. I think miniatures and Transformer customizers use it.. maybe get some and a test piece of foam and try mixing it into some gesso.. see how it rolls on, paints on.. stipples and maybe a couple other methods and see how it turns out and use what works best.
I post this and then there's a vehicle thread with someone mentioning it also, lol.. too funny. http://www.hisstank.com/forum/g-i-jo...uture-wax.html Last edited by Joerhyno; 04-27-2009 at 10:52 AM.. |

Nope. This is a Hisstank exclusive.
I'm not opposed to being mentioned on other boards, I just figure my time is busy enough that I don't have time to replicate posts on three or four different boards. (Do people do this?) Plus, I kind of decided on using Hisstank because it seems like a larger customizing community. You guys never fail to impress me either... I'm back into town tomorrow. So, I'll get the updates going again!

Just a quick note to let you guys know I'm back safe and in town. Which means tomorrow, it's on!
I know, I was supposed to get to it tonight, but got a little backed up. Tomorrow, we get to paintin' and strategizing on where to put the LEDs. And the island... You guys have been awesome with your support. I really appreciate it!

yes, i looked this thread up so i can see some updates. cant wait, an the gesso sounds amazing man. what type of roller are you supposed to use? i will tell you this for painting, them cheap garbage foam rollers sleeves, they actually give a great smooth surface, after being worked in an multiple coats. they seem to not be working at first, but after multiple thin coats it will become even. you are probaby better off using a wizz roller set up on this. it's a 4 inch roller, an get a handle. dont get a long handle cus the leverage would be to much, that's made for reaching, you would need the shorter one. the thinner nap the smoother finish. you probably could use a soft woven 3/8ths roller sleeve for this. dont ever use a lambs wool or type roller it will leave roller stiple. just some pointers on rollers to get a smooth finish.
