Is anyone working on anything like the guy in this link? This sort of jointed wall system seems pretty simple and could be used on any number of wall designs!
I'm surprised some company hasn't jumped on this and started producing this type of action figure accessories! The ONLY thing I can think of that is remotely similar are those Eversparkle buildings sets I sold off a year or 2 ago! HAVE A LOOK and tell me what you guys think?! I think it'd make an awesome kickstarter project if someone had the time and ability to start making something like that in joe scale.

I am making backdrops/ base interiors for my son's Joes using old DVD cases. I cut out the circular disc portion and cover both sides of the interior with a printout of a wall- armory, computers, etc. I have been able add a third wall to one, and a balcony to another. The whole thing folds up nicely making it a portable playset, or it can be put away in a small space so Mom doesn't get upset. The outside can have pretty much any exterior facade you want- just print it out and slide it inside the front plastic. If I can get to a camera, I will try to post some pics.

TKprime has some good backgrounds...
I've been printing them out on legal paper mount them on cardboard Then I use the cardboard figure backs to stand up the background on it own Walls/backgrounds can be put togeather quickly & easily. |

Here are the pics of my latest project- taking DVD cases and converting them into parts of a base or into a small relay station/safehouse. My son figured if GI Joe were to operate globally, then they would probably have a bunch of these places all around the globe- secret hide-aways where they could resupply, rest, and get whatever else they needed while on mission. If it can fold,it will work with the DVD case. I plan to do one with a fold-out holding cell when I get the time.
The nice thing is you can put them with other cases or other parts to create a bigger complex. You can change the outside to whatever you need, to- cave, run-down building, glacier- whatever. |

Thanks! I got some of my backgrounds from tkprime's facebook site, too. Others from other places. Most of them are crop, paste, recolor and add-my-own-stuff to get what I want.

I seem to recall someone here was making and selling displays for Joe figures. They were flat like booklets but would open to make a simple display. I'm almost positive I even saw them front paged a year or so ago, but haven't seen anything since.
I also remember someone who was selling modular boxes for 1:18th figures, but they were just that, boxes, and you could connect them together, stacking them. The lone box shape kept it kinda bland but they did have different details printed inside them. You could purchase a printable file from the creator and print as many as you wanted.
